Gjermund Eide

Senior Adviser

With 40 years of operational and strategic experience from the Norwegian Armed Forces, Gjermund brings a unique military background to Kruse Larsen. From 2014 to 2024, he served as Military Adviser to the Secretary General of NATO, working closely with Jens Stoltenberg throughout his entire decade in the role.  

Previous to that, Gjermund was Head of Communications for the Norwegian Chief of Defence and the Armed Forces. He has also served as Contingent Commander for Norwegian forces in Afghanistan and as Military Adviser to the Minister of Defence.

Gjermund holds a master’s degree in National Security Strategy from the National War College in Washington, D.C. He also holds qualifications from Försvarshögskolan in Stockholm, as well as from Stabsskolen and Krigsskolen in Oslo.

At Kruse Larsen, he works particularly with international relations, security and defence.
