Jens is an experienced adviser with broad expertise in public affairs, politics, organisational work and media relations.

He has has a background from the maritime sector and the petroleum industry, where he has worked operationally, served as a union representative, and held roles as a political advisor. Jens has also served as public affairs adviser at Norsk Sjøoffisersforbund, where he was responsible for policy development and strategic political work.

In trade union organisations he has held several elected roles and leadership positions, giving him in-depth knowledge of key policy areas — particularly within maritime affairs, petroleum and energy, transport, competence development, and sustainability.  

Jens also has experience from the education sector, where he worked nationally on research and education policy.
